Taylor is a California-born, Melbourne-based designer with 15 years of global experience — she’s passionate about creating spaces that feel like home in the truest sense: personal, livable, layered, and built around everyday rituals.
With a career that began in top-tier U.S. architecture firms and evolved through award-winning hospitality and commercial projects in Australia, Taylor brings a rare balance of high-end expertise and human-first perspective. Her experience designing lifestyle hotels has shaped a design philosophy where storytelling, emotion, and atmosphere are just as important as function.
Now, she’s turning her focus toward more intimate, intentional projects. Taylor Thornton Interiors was born from a desire to slow down, connect more deeply, and help individuals create homes that feel grounded, beautiful, and uniquely theirs.
Taylor’s design approach blends the soul of the space with the story of the people who live there — drawing on natural materials, layered textures, and well-loved vintage pieces to create rooms that are not only timeless, but truly personal.
